Where can I find New Mexico newspapers?

We have several resources to help you find New Mexico newspapers, and the Library provides access to both historic and current papers.
Historic
- The NMSU Library has newspapers available on microfilm. You can search for these in the Library’s online catalog by title or by combining the location (for example, las cruces or dona ana county) with the word “newspapers.”
- The Library has digitized issues of NMSU’s student newspaper, The Round-Up, from 1893-1999. Additional issues may be found on microfilm.
- Historic newspaper databases include Newspaper databases include NewspaperArchive and New Mexico Historical Newspapers.
Current
- A good source for current New Mexico newspapers and other news sources is New Mexico Newspapers, a subset of the Newsbank database. This full-text database includes stories from the Las Cruces Sun-News, the Albuquerque Journal and the Roswell Daily Record.
- The Santa Fe New Mexican is available via Nexis Uni. Date ranges vary.
