Can I check out books if I don’t work or study at NMSU?

Answer

The NMSU Library offers guest borrower cards to all permanent residents of New Mexico. Proof of current address must accompany application (e.g., driver’s license, printed checks, utility receipt). The guest borrower’s application is available here or from the Zuhl Service or the Branson Information Desk.

Guest borrower cards are mailed to applicants to verify residency. Guest borrowers must have received their card prior to borrowing materials. Guest borrowers can check out up to 10 items at a time for a 4 week loan period, with 1 renewal. Interlibrary loan privileges are not available to guest borrowers.
